Northland Medical Center Celebrates Community Impact with Meals ala Car Program and Upcoming Scrubby

Princeton, MN — Northland Medical Center, a trusted healthcare provider in the Princeton community, is proud to highlight the ongoing success of its Meals ala Car program and announce the upcoming Scrubby Bear Golf Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, September 13, at the Princeton Golf Course.

Established in 1973, the Meals ala Car program is managed by Northland Medical Center Nutrition Services and remains a vital expression of the Fair Table Food is Medicine initiative. The program provides nutritious meals to members of the Princeton community, delivered by dedicated volunteers who also offer social connection and support to program participants.

In support of pediatric patients, Northland Medical Center is hosting the annual Scrubby Bear Golf Tournament, a fundraiser that directly benefits the Scrubby Bear Program. This cherished initiative provides comforting stuffed animals to children receiving care in the hospital’s rehabilitation, surgery, and emergency departments.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our community members, volunteers, and partners who continue to support these important programs,” said John Swanholm, Vice President of Community Advancement. “Together, we’re building a healthier and more compassionate community.”
