Description
United We Shiver is happening on Saturday February 4, 2023. United We Shiver is a community fundraising event where brave souls plunge into the icy waters of Big Lake to support local nonprofits. In 2022 over $30,000 was raised and 100% of proceeds stay local. The Sherburne County Area United Way supports nonprofits in Princeton, Zimmerman, Elk River, Otsego, Big Lake, Santiago and Nowthen.
So much more than just an icy plunge, United We Shiver is a full day family friendly event that is free to attend and filled with activities for everyone, including a family festival on the ice, an ice bowling tournament and a competition BBQ ribs cookoff. Event runs from 12:00-5:00, with the plunge beginning at 2:00pm.
