Spring Celebration and Friends Annual Plant Sale
10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Oak Savanna Learning Center
Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge and the Friends of Sherburne NWR invite the public of all ages to its FREE Spring Celebration event to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day and the start of the spring season.
On Saturday, May 18 there will be activities throughout the day, beginning with a Bird Tour at 8:00 am and volunteer interpretive rover presence on the self-led Prairie's Edge Wildlife Drive from 8:00 am to dusk.
Activities at the Oak Savanna Learning Center will begin at 10:00 am and include a plant sale run by the Friends of Sherburne NWR, kid's crafts and engaging booths focusing on migratory birds and pollinators. Tami Vogel from the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is presenting "Keeping Wildlife Families Together" talk at 11:00 am and there will be a volunteer-led, family-friendly guided hike leaving from the learning center at 12:00pm.
