Story behind Color Run

Three years ago, we launched the Color Run as a way to bring our community together in a bold stand against domestic violence. Following in the footsteps of our previous events - Walk a Mile in Her Shoes and Walk for Hope - the Color Run was created to be an inclusive, family-friendly event that welcomes people of all ages to take part in raising awareness and hope.

Our Color Run has grown into an annual event filled with color, connection, and purpose. Now in its third year, the Color Run continues to raise both awareness and critical funds to support the free advocacy services offered by Rivers of Hope.

Behind every step taken are stories of survival, strength, and healing. In 2024, Rivers of Hope served over 800 adults and youth impacted by domestic violence. We also reached more than 4,500 students through classroom presentations focused on healthy relationships with the goal of breaking cycles of violence in our community.

For over 35 years, Rivers of Hope has been a resource for those experiencing domestic violence in Sherburne and Wright Counties. With a centrally located office in Monticello, we offer free, trauma-informed services to anyone in need.

Your support of the Color Run helps ensure these stories of hope continue - and that no one in our community has to face violence alone.
