Description
The 6th Annual Nowthen Heritage Festival is held in Nowthen Memorial Park at the corners of Anoka County Roads 5 & 22. The day begins at 8AM with a Pancake Breakfast in the Fire Station and ends with a Texas Roadhouse Steak Dinner and a "Zambelli" Fireworks display at dusk. Admission is free along with most events. The brings all types of activities such as the Nowthen Lions Kids 1k & 5K Walk/Run, Nowthen Business Expo, Aikdio demonstration, Farmers Market, Tommy's Petting Zoo, Kids Games and Activity Center, Food Vendors, Inflatables, Pine River State Bank Scarecrow contest with cash prizes, Disc Golf demos and contests, Flag raising, Giant Pumpkin contest and display, Fire Station Open House with kitchen fire demo, live music througout the day, Hay Wagon Rides, Giant Fun slide, Nowthen Seniors Historicial displays,Classic Car and Tractor displays, Arts and Crafs Vendors, Cupcake Walks, free prize drawings, and Birthday cake at noon in honor of Nowthen's 5th Birthday.
