Students are invited to discover a wide variety of industries, innovations, and career opportunities 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the National Sports Center in Blaine. Student/school participation is coordinated with the Anoka County Job Training Center and Construct Tomorrow, however there are limited spots left.
Construct Tomorrow is a statewide initiative that introduces high school students to careers in the union construction trades through hands-on, interactive experiences. Its goal is to help students understand the benefits of union careers while showing them the wide range of skilled trades available.
At the event, students can use real tools in hands-on activities across multiple trades; meet diverse professionals working in high-demand, high-reward careers; and learn about competitive wages, benefits, and apprenticeship pathways. Interested students should coordinate through their school counselor’s office and homeschool students can register as a school (name – homeschool) or call the JTC at 763-324-2300.
Event partners include Construct Tomorrow, Anoka Technical College, Anoka/Hennepin-Carver counties, Ramsey, Dakota/Scott counties, the city of Minneapolis, and Washington County. Visit the Construct Tomorrow website for more information on this event and others.
