It Takes A Village, Get Connected To Ours!
Community Connect is a one-day, one-stop event that offers individuals and families access to resources and services in a welcoming and fun environment.
Over 30 different local and regional vendors provide a range of services, including housing assistance, government programs, employment opportunities, legal assistance, financial services, tax services, and access to food.
Preregistration is not required. Just show up on Tuesday, October 18th, from 11 AM to 2 PM, check-in, and get connected!
What To Expect
Our main goal for this event is to let the community know what local resources are available. We know it can be hard to figure out what is out there for assistance. It can be cumbersome to navigate a system with so many facets, so we want to bring everyone together, so you don’t have to do all the work and know you are not alone.
It’s a kid-friendly event with face painting station and other activities for the kids. Lunch, winter coats, and free haircuts. You can expect to gain information at this event and have a great time!
Check in at the registration table. There will be a short form to fill out to help us better understand your needs and be able to guide you to the vendors that could best meet those needs. We will ask for information regarding what guests are in attendance, such as age, number of people in the household, how you heard about the event, etc. We will not ask for personal information.
After registration, participants are encouraged to talk to as many vendors as you see fit. Many vendors offer services that might not be their primary role, so we encourage you to stop by their table even if you don’t think you will need them. Most vendors will also have essential items at their table to give away, so stop by and get what you need.
