Thinking about raising poultry? Join University of Minnesota Educators Colleen Carslon and Brenda Miller to learn the basics of poultry husbandry, breeds of chickens, nutrition, housing, city ordinances, biosecurity, getting started raising baby chicks and maintaining a chicken coop and run.
About the Instructors
Brenda Miller keeps a small flock of chickens on her family's farm near Osakis Minnesota. Colleen Carlson is a 5th generation poultry keeper and raises chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys on her family's small farm. In addition, Colleen teaches a variety of poultry keeping classes with her work through Extension.
