9:00 a.m.            Accelerating economic growth 
How can tax relief make Minnesota competitive? Legislators are discussing several key policies this session to lower costs, conform with federal tax reform and help employers invest in their business and workforce instead of paying more in taxes.

Also, hear an update on the progress toward replenishing the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund with existing funds instead of raising payroll taxes. (This bill most likely will pass March 15)

Once again this year, lawmakers are debating proposals that would impose one-size-fits-all mandates on businesses pertaining to paid leave for employees. Hear what these proposals would mean for your business, and some commonsense policies that would allow businesses to keep autonomy over offering competitive benefits during a historic workforce shortage.

What are the other topics that will impact this legislative session? The elections, redistricting, public safety and other key issues will likely shape legislative and public debate this year. Hear from decision-makers the potential outcomes of these policies this year.
