DESCRIPTION:Caring for a loved one living with dementia can be a challenging experience.   This presentation discusses the changes in memory\, cognition and function that occur with dementia and how this is different than normal aging. Family members and caregivers attending this session will be shown hands on strategies based on Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care  to learn to better engage their loved one and maximize their function\, while also supporting and managing the difficult behaviors we often see with dementia.
